Debra Whitman. She's relatively obscure and a lot of people don't know she was even a love interest/girlfriend of Peter's. She was mentally ill and had low self-esteem but a lot of people DID actually like her back in the early 80s, to the point fan letters were sent in bemoaning Peter for being kind of a douche to Debra. Spectacular Spider-Man's nerdy Gwen is similar to Debra Whitman too. If she was in more stuff I think more people would catch onto her as a character.
