>>149051807 (OP) >Who is to blame? Cynical douchebag grifters dunking on original ideas for clout, while simultaneously praising copypasta garbage. They've managed to scare the execs away from trying anything new. They squeeze every last dollar from something good, and then repeat the process, because it's "safe". They won't invest in anything new post-covid.
>>149051807 (OP) How about reboot and or revive bad shows and make them good. So that way you'd leave the good stuff alone.

>>149051807 (OP) Believed it or not original creations started to be even shittier than revivals. Look at craig of the creek, for example, it had everything wrong in the industry and modern creators.
>>149051807 (OP) Because it sells and is safe. Why risk anymore when you can shell out media the world is familiar and comfortable with and will pay for because its what they know?

>>149052448 We need boatloads of shitty shows in order to get the gems. A LOT of great shows start off being total ass. Simpsons and Adventure Time are two big standouts for me. Their pilots and early episodes were primordial compared to what they eventually accomplished. Hell, I know it's a bit ironic, but the first two seasons of pretty much every Star Trek show have been shite. Shows need more than two seasons to get their legs in many cases, and studios need to be greenlighting more crap so we can eventually have more gold.
>>149052483 All shows jump the shark eventually, yes. However, their peak content is considered some of the best among American cartoons of the last 50 years.

>>149051807 (OP) Because all their original shows failed. So they are trying to use nostalgia reboots to get more money since Normalfags eat up nostalgia shit.
>>149051807 (OP) Executives see a downward trend in ratings and theatre attendance. Rather than recognizing it’s a general shift in viewership habits from television to the Internet or acknowledging that streaming is a Pandora’s box that they decided to open and can’t close even if they want to, they blame the new programming and films for not being the golden goose miracle IP that’s supposed to turn the fortunes of their respective studios and networks around. Thus, rely on the power of pre existing IPs. Both because they have established reputation and have already been marketed, and maybe more cynically, as a desperate attempt to lure older fans of those properties back in with nostalgia bait.

That didn’t stop Barbie, Balder’s Gate 3, or Super Mario Bros.
Maybe Turning Red, Onward, Raya and the Last Dragon, Lightyear, Strange World, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Owl House, and Hailey’s On it just sucked.
>>149053564 >*drops the mic* You didn't really say anything, and I never specified who I was talking about. I think the problem is cultural, not political, but go off I guess.
