I feel like Blue One is one of the Image comics one but I don't know whichm
Anyway Icon is the Superman of Milestone (comics where Static, Static Shock for everyone, was from) he is an adult alien male that took black human likeness after his ship wrecked on earth, and lives like a black man because he feels they're the good race.
Plutonian is from Irredeemable, Mark Waid's creation, a cosmic made golem of energy created by the wish of redemption.
The story is solid and subversive in the right way, he is an evil Superman but the better one at that, once was the greatest hero of earth loved by everyone. But one bad day made him become the greatest enemy of humanity.

I call him Double-Vision, he is nigh invulnerable, super strong, can fly, and he can split himself into two. The second split copy version is a woman however, and she is more like a sister when shes around. She can only "exist" for an hour max until she is re-absorbed into Double-Vision and together they fight crime. He is also on a quest to become president of the united states and advertises his political campaign wherever he goes, and this makes the world uneasy while some see him as an ideal candidate.
His arch nemesis is The Visualizer, a villain who knows his secret identity because they were childhood friends and is the Prime Minister of Germany, he is related to Hitler and they are still in contact because in this world Hitler survived by moving to Alaska(no one would think to look for him there) The visualizer can create anything he imagines simply by drawing it, he is a genius and relies on his intellect. Together they are planning the return of the Reich but this scheme is threatened by double-vision becoming president so he must be stopped at all costs.

DOUBLE-VISION VS THE VISUALIZER!!! WHO WILL WIN AND RUN THE WORLD GOVERNMENTS?

Very Impressive Man

His twist is that motivated by another hero that came before he got his powers and is following his example. His powers are the usual array of abilities. Flight, super strength, invulnerability, hypersonic flight, heat vision, etc.

He suffers from imposter syndrome because he feels that he canโ€™t measure up to his hero and as a result overcompensates when in public.

Mastered all of the classic dynamic super hero poses and ritualistically practices one-liners every night.

>Tell me about your Superman ripoff, tell me his powers and origins
Firefighter from Kentucky, looks like about 350lb of redneck muscle. He's got the classic flying brick set, plus super senses, laser eyes, and cold breath. He also doesn't really get hurt, as per se. His body just converts 'damage' to pain 1:1, so you could theoretically drive him insane, but you can't actually kill him.
His parents are just ordinary people, an auto mechanic and a housewife, although they both have practical skillsets born of experience. He was their only child, and the only one they ended up having. Almost as soon as he was born, traditional medicine stopped working on him, but he ended up not needing it. He also can't be X-Rayed, because his body either reflects or absorbs the radiation. They thought it was genetics, especially because the guy stands 6'7", but some villains cloned him and it didn't do shit. His clones are equally titanic, however, so that at least is genetic.
Rather than go into crimefighting, he does rescue work and disaster relief internationally, for no other reason than that it was the most reliable and least violent way to save lives. While he doesn't have 'true' medical training, he's an adept first-aid specialist and can fluently read, write, and speak all six of the UN official languages- as well as some others, due to some areas being more disaster-prone than others.
His love interest is an antiheroine, one of the natural protector types. They've butted heads from time to time, but share a physical attraction. Over time, he's become more disillusioned, even coming around to her more amoral way of thinking to some degree.
Confusingly, despite the powers apparently not coming from his genes, his son by way of her has a Doomsday-like powerset where, in contrast to his dad, he can be hurt and even 'killed', but he just keeps coming back stronger, with increasingly bizarre and inhuman powers.

It would be a version of Lor Zod. He was born in the Phantom Zone - Zod knocked up Ursa before they got sent there - and so on top of the usual Kryptonian powers he has arctic vision and he can shift in and out of the Phantom Zone at will, and he retains a corporeal body within the Zone.

He gets sent into the future to the Legion of Superheroes time. He joins, gets an Almeracan girlfriend, and fights space pirates in the future.

This makes me think of Tom Peyer's Penultiman, who is essentially Superman with a massive inferiority complex because whilst he's so far beyond us normal humans, he's actually from the future where humans have evolved to the final stage of evolution, and he's the *second last* stage and so essentially seen as a caveman there. Good comic and good idea, anon

I don't have an OC per se, but I have a heavily reworked Superman and his mythos that I set up as a villain for a Batman reinvention. Anyway, that said, it goes like this:
>Krypton has reached a state where they're scientifically advanced enough for everyone to be a gene-engineered "Super Man", but they haven't cracked things like universe-spanning interstellar travel yet, beyond a few nearby colonies
>they attempt a stargate-like project so that they can just "teleport" into other places
>the project is a planetary wide effort and they keep throwing more and more into it
>the central AI that is Brainiac detects anomalies but is "shut down"
>they do open a portal, but it's to some hellish dimension, so the project is shut down
>Brainiac gets "infected" by the idea he's already reaching self-actualization/consciousness
>attempts to revive the project in the background until he makes multiple connections to said dimension and Krypton starts being drained and practically destroyed
>Jor-El is part of the 1% of the 1% and basically rigs together a barely working portal to a similar planet, Earth, where he just chucks Kal in a pod and throws him out there
>Brainiac feels the connection and basically "hijacks" the pod and Kryptonian Codex
>baby Kal is found by Lionel who has the resources to hide and nurture him
>he names him Alexander and raises him to conquer the world
>Kal's brain is like a Quantum Computer and is far ahead anything
>Lionel is actually pretty loving towards him and he thinks they can reshape Earth together
>Kal however was tutored by Brainiac/Jor to basically turn Earth into New Krypton and is just playing a long con
>by day he's Lex Luthor, and then he suits up as "Superman" to take on extraterrestrial threats and make the world dependent on him while also dealing his tech everywhere so that he can control everything within a few short generations
Superman but as Lex Luthor, basically.

Brainiac and Eradicator are the same here. The whole point is merging characters to simplify the Superman Mythos so that it can act as part of the BatMythos. Honestly, Brainiac is such a retarded name, and his function is kind of moronic too, whereas Eradicator is too derivative of Superman's base design, that I wanted to mash them up together and come up with something different. Brainiac would evolve into Eradicator alongside Kal/Lex evolving into Superman.

Mine is an astronaut who was experimented on by aliens and gained incredibly powerful Superman esque powers. He mostly did disaster relief while trying to encourage the world into a more utopian space age society, but slowly as more superpowered people appeared, the governments and corporations of the world pressured him into fighting threats instead.
Eventually the world got tired of him and a Homelander like figure appeared who stole his thunder and popularity. Heโ€™s still around doing disaster relief but heโ€™s a little depressed and doesnโ€™t have as much political sway as he used to. itโ€™s eventually revealed that his decline in popularity was orchestrated by a conspiracy trying to take over the world who saw him as a threat. The same conspiracy was responsible for killing this worldโ€™s Spider-Man expy because he knew too much, and regularly hunts down and kills mind controllers to prevent them from rebelling. He eventually teams up with a mind controller to stop the conspiracy.

Basically imagine an older Superman who would rather be a Starfleet captain

It's about as much of a power move as retconning the original green lantern into being gay.

Superman expy named the Plutonian goes bad and kills tons of people, terrorising the planet, his former friends and hero colleagues attempt to stop him. Over the course of the series, it's revealed that an alien race sacrificed some of their essence to create a living "probe" to study Earth, and on being found by a human woman the probe manifested into a baby - this is how the Plutonian came to exist. The story progresses to the point where Earth is blanketed by radiation and humanity is doomed, but one of the heroes, Qubit, promises Plutonian that he can fully redeem him for his actions if he helps execute Qubit's plan to absorb the radiation (he also threatens him with his one weakness for good measure). Plutonian agrees and flies around the world absorbing it all, but it's too much for him, and his body starts to disintegrate, returning to it's original "probe" essence. Qubit then reveals his promised redemption: he teleports parts of the essence all across the entire multiverse, to give it a near-infinite number of chances to manifest in new forms and hopefully "get it right this time".

The comic ends on another Earth, with a kid running to his friend's house in excitement, saying he all of a sudden just had an amazing idea for the comic book character they've been trying to dream up. He gets his buddy to sketch the outline - the kids are Siegel and Shuster, and the sketch is clearly Superman, implying that the idea for Supes is the manifestation of the Plutonian's essence in our world.

In his classic guise he's imminently likeable and stands for very positive ideas, he has a great look, his stories allow for a lot of sci-fi stuff that I find cool, and as all the pastiches in this thread show his character (or, I guess, archetype) can be examined in a ton of different ways.

It feels uneven having Hyperion who is an intentionally similar case with three that are rather incidental similarities. Wonder if Val should be subbed for Thundra since she is the one that comes from an all-women society and has a closer weapon than either the spear Enchantress and the first human host Valkyrie used, or swords with the main Valkyrie favored between the "borrowed" Ebony Blade and long lasting Dragonfang.

Because Namor and Golden Age Vison came first, they can't be included.

My original character is called Rad Man he's way better than Superman because he's got bigger muscles than Superman and looks like Arnie but also has a super cool mullet like Van Damme and he wears jeans and a jeans jacket and cool Nike trainers because he's way cooler than Superman. He's also super strong because he lifts weights and can do so super karate and super flying spinning kicks and has badass one liners and he has Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses that can fire laser blasts. Also he doesn't have a dumb job or a secret identity because that's all for nerds, he just drives around the country doing whatever he wants in his super cool Camero which can travel at superspeed was faster than Superman and he fights drug dealers and gun runners and gangs and sleeps with different sexy women all the time.
