I guess it depends on who you play it with. I only played sporadically once Commander took over the game, and then, only with friends, and it still seemed somewhat amusing, but I was only mildly interested at that point. Then, I got into Lorcana, and had to interact with some of the die hard MTG players at my LCS, and it reminded me of why I was done with the game. The Lorcana group at my LCS is far more diverse and less obnoxious.

I guess it depends on your area, because where I live, there are at least 4 card stores if varying sizes that all have a Lorcana night that has at least some attendance (I don't know how many attendees at each because I've only been to games at 2 of them).

So... has anyone here beat Palace Heist yet? I've only had a chance to try it on easy, and out of 3 games, Jafar kicked our ass each time. We might just suck at it, but I'd like to hear how difficult others have found it.

This is a ramp card, specific to the 'Puppy' tribal themed decks. Much like some of the Rat cards in MtG, there are a few Puppy cards that you can have an unlimited amount of in your deck. Perdita's card lets you basically convert all the Puppy cards in your graveyard into tapped mana, to use terms more familiar to a MtG player.

See, what I like about Lorcana vs. MtG, is that MtG was a game full of original ideas and lore, that over it's existence has slowly (then, quickly) sold out, adding more and more licensed material to the game, whereas Lorcana was created as a game to sell Disney licensed material that has slowly gained its own lore and original characters and storylines. Plus, Lorcana actually lets characters from different Disney properties interact with one another, giving it a leg up on Kingdom Hearts.

Well, in the early sets, Puppy decks weren't all that viable. Puppy cards had a resurgence in the last 2 sets, but I haven't messed with them enough to see if they're that competitive yet. But, I remember that the Puppy cards lead to a lot of swarm decks emerging, catapulting Rock Star Stitch into popularity.
Combine that with any King at Pride Rock, and you could flood the board.

A lot of good insight there. You're right that they are vulnerable to board clear, and also right that board clears are expensive. But, amber decks tend to have a lot of support for aggro, such as cards to make playing characters cheaper. Plus, Stitch has 'Shift 4', which allows you to transform another, cheaper Stitch into Rock Star Stitch by paying 4 ink instead of 6.

Yes. There's a card design reasoning for this though, as when a character 'taps' to attack, quest, or use an ability, they leave themselves open to attack, whereas locations are always open to attack, therefore, always in landscape mode.

So me and my pal are TCG fags since we were children when Yu-Gi-Oh was literally first created. We play mtg and ygo mostly but are part of the general community, him more so than I. We admit that the One Piece TCG is both collectors and players but we don't know if that really is the case for lorecana. I for one literally think it's being propped up by the mouse paying locals to run weekly events even if no one fucking comes. But my pal says that there are at the very least actual collectors who just collect Disney shit regardless. But even if that's the case, collectors who don't play the game can't keep a TCG afloat.

That's anecdotal and doesn't really mean anything. My LGS hosts 4 events a week and regularly gets 50+ on Fridays and around 30 for the other nights. I live in a small city of barely over 100k. The two nearby even smaller cities host 2 events a week and get around 10 per event.

For example, there's a few newer characters who can also target readied characters, plus there's blanketed damage, board wipes, and anything that lets your opponent choose a target instead of you. Another thing that makes something like the Ursula card worse is her inkable status (border around her cost). In Lorcana there is no dedicated mana/resource, instead you put your cards into the inkwell where they are just ink now. Ursula >>149079995 cannot be put into the ink where Magica >>149080497 can.

Uninkable cards are generally better, but too many of them and you aren't able to add ink for the turn and you fall behind in mana. A four cost uninkable card is pretty unattractive, especially one that doesn't have an on play effect.
