Will this finally break the current curse at Walt Disney Animation Studios after 3 bad movies (Strange World, Wish, Moana 2)

Moana 2 earn over $1 billion worldwide, theirs highest gross animated film in 2024. The plot was jinking cause of them shifting it from a Disney Plus series to a full length film, but it was still good enough film.

Moana 2 was technically a bad movie story-wise and graphically. Yet it was a highly profitable movie. That's kind of all Disney care about, that sweet sweet money.

I'm hoping that Zootopia 2 is a good movie. The main character of Zootopia was always the city of Zootopia and not necessarily Nick and Judy. It looks to be easier to write a plot about a city than attempting to turn a TV series into a movie.

Anon is saying in terms of quality, not in term of box office.
Strange World, Wish, Moana 2 were all poorly received. Moana 2 only made bank because it's Moana, and so will Zootopia 2 since it's Zootopia

Probably not. Like Moana 2 it might make a profit but lack any sort of artistic or storytelling merit. Disney is so terrified of controversy they focus test and monitor their productions to make sure not a single trace of edge remains

What kind of timeline are we in where bad movies with poorly told stories get rewarded with record breaking profits

Strange World was barely promoted and even if was it plot was just to boring and uninteresting and Wish has a very mediocre story, it was basically just Disney References the Movie, was barely it own original film.

I don't care if the animators in this movie are confirmed >>>/trash/ faggots, it's still going to be shit. If it's not Indie (Besides being part of A24 or (((Bento Box))) ) then its going to be fucking shit and not make a lot at the box offices as it used to make in the past.

the one where you're watching things made for kids with underdeveloped uncritical brains and the parents who will pay for a ticket to shut their stupid ass kids up for an hour 30 minutes

I still wonder why they didn't asked Pete Docter to also run WDAS. Pixar has been doing better in this decade than Walt Disney Animation Studios

Off topic but when are we gonna have a story time around this book? I’m kinda curious to see the plot without seeing the film.

Zootopia 2 will be shit but it will be a success because Normies Are Idiots. They see a sequel to a brand that they know and will buy it blindly. Zootopia 2 will easily make two billion because consumers are retards.

For the longest time there have been a lot of bad animated movies that have made a ton of money. Quality means nothing for parents taking their kids to see a movie that they immediately have to get merchandise of.
