Based AF, fuck anime, it’s ruined the western animation sphere, all modern cartoons these days have to be pale imitations of anime, shit like High Guardian Spice, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Jentry Chau, Chibiverse, why can’t we have a cartoon that wants to be a cartoon? More cartoons like modern SpongeBob (and The Patrick Star Show) please.

Seriosuly, I was a "fuck cartoons anime is awesome" fag in highschool, but nowadays with vtubers and gacha its all essentially the same soulless repetitive slop. I just want creatives to be able to afford being creative again, but it looks like we are instead going to get spoon fed hyper generalized no risk taking AI driven creations and designs.
>>149081549 >Seriosuly, I was a "fuck cartoons anime is awesome" fag in highschool,
I am still like that since the adult cartoons scene is so garbage(and no copying anime styles won't improve it)
>>149081441 (OP) >"Westernization" >It's always based on cheap Canadian flash animation from the mid to late 00s >Or beanmouth if the artist was specifically trying to elicit outrage
>>149082194
Holy fucking shit this, there are so many fucking Western styles and these retards always default to those two styles. Fucking stylistic AIDS.
>>149082194
I've had AI change some anime characters to different random ass styles before. >Inb4 slop
Yeah well I get bored, it's fun to do when you're bored, here a tests ones I just did since I never save them.

not mad, just pointing out the reason /a/ doesn't talk shit about /co/ is it's been taken over by turdies with no exposure to animation, literature or movies outside the narrow scope of anime and manga
>>149092767 >just pointing out the reason /a/ doesn't talk shit about /co/
But that is wrong because /a/ has never been interested in /co/ stuff even before and also there are /a/ threads about books that they would like to get an anime adaptations and storytimes of manga that are adapting literature and discussing anime adaptations of novels. So that is double wrong. There are a lot of spics on /a/ but that's true for /co/ and every other board as well.
>>149091598 >on" >>It's always based on cheap Canadian flash animation from the mid to late 00s >>Or beanmouth if the artist was specifically trying to
god AI is so bad at this
>>149092789
Even if they weren't interested in /co/ stuff, they should have at least seen 5 minutes of Looney Tunes or a quote from the Simpsons or even a non-capeshit movie; but they don't. They're oblivious because they never had access to these, they just read pirated manga/anime and hentai. I've been with the poor uneducated and they love anime and manga because it takes minimal intelligence to appreciate.
>>149092870 >Even if they weren't interested in /co/ stuff, they should have at least seen 5 minutes of Looney Tunes or a quote from the Simpsons or even a non-capeshit movie; but they don't. T
How do you even know that? Most people have seen some western animation when they were children. > They're oblivious because they never had access to these, they just read pirated manga/anime and hentai.
Everyone has access to everything on the internet. It's just that most people interested in anime/manga are not specifically in western animation/comics anime it goes both ways. I've already mentioned that /a/ has way more /lit/ related threads than /co/. > poor uneducated and they love anime and manga because it takes minimal intelligence to appreciate.
You might want to look at the rest of the /co/ and see that it's even worse than /a/ when it comes to the cartoons that get discussion.
>>149092903 >look at the rest of the /co/ and see that it's even worse than /a/
I'm not saying we're better but we get constant "east vs. west" and anime discussion, can't say the other way around is true for /a/. As bad as /co/ might be, this place has better media literacy.
>>149092938 >As bad as /co/ might be, this place has better media literacy.
You are choosing to ignore the /lit/ examples that I've given and also the EvsW threads are here because anime and manga usually have more to offer than cartoons and comics in terms of the adult market and genre variety(at least in the eyes of the majority). Do you understand why that doesn't work the other way around? Why would /a/ make an evsw thread(which would get deleted in 10 minutes since it has draconian moderation) when they are on the other side of the fence?

As the above posts show beyond any doubt, anon is angry that other people aren't angry about him/her/them/xem because anon is a woman and/or faggot. Being as we are on /co/, that makes anon the majority demographic, so it's easy to surmise even without the toxic feminine petulance oozing from every post.
>>149084680
actually wasn't a bad imitation, though I think a lot of scenes in the beginning were a bit of a clusterfuck visually. gets better as the show goes on
>>149093145
This shot for example is fucking great, from the episode about Garterbelt's past. Very dynamic and smooth, I think it's mostly threes but you can't even tell. Good shit.
>>149081549 >but nowadays with vtubers and gacha its all essentially the same soulless repetitive slop
that's what happens when everyone is trying to appeal to the same audience, and that audience values pleasant-looking visuals and/or sexy character designs over everything else.
>>149092870 >They're oblivious because they never had access to these,
Pretty much every free country had access to these cartoons you stupid burger. /a/ just thinks japanese shows are better... and they are right most of the time.
>>149082194 >people copy stuff they like
Wow! Maybe when The Triplets of Belleville or, fuck it, Spike and Mike reenters the public consciousness (never) maybe we'll see that sort of animation too
