What's your opinion on Superbook (2011)?

I respect it, I like some of the visual gags
But I'm probably going to watch the version we can't mention on this board

Never heard of the newer Superbook, but judging from that OP's pic I'll stick with the original /a/ Superbook.

The original Superbook and The Flying House were cool Bible anime shows to watch then back. There was also a much rarer bible anime I liked, but I couldn't quite remember if it was In the Beginning: Stories or some other series.

They have very chinky eyes.

While there's only so much a show can do with the bible, and it's a late-series addition so a lot has been covered. But it changed the style too far, focused too much time on angels (at least they had swords), and just wasn't entertaining. Maybe I was expecting different. Maybe there wasn't any fanservice, or anything I thought interesting. It tried though.

I remember that the first episode was actually about Lucifer's rebellion and it actually had Michael and Lucifer duking it out in an all out CGI angel war.
Not the type of shit I expected from Superbook.
