Isn't that most of them, in this day and age most people like being in fandoms more for what they can create off the original rather than what they like about the original.

Why did South Park of all things attract fujos? I’ve never really understood that. Usually they gravitate towards media with attractive male characters with feminine traits. The South Park boys are like the opposite of that.

In western stuff, Invader Sim's very ship and porn heavy fandom is pretty antithetical to the creator's general image.
