1. It’s unfunny as shit, the show has no original humor, only references memes, and does stuff to please its fandom of dumfucks like "haha Jax is a maid LOL", fuck the casts humor too, Alex Rochon thinks "haha Caine says Skibidi Toilet so funny", and they wonder why children eat this shit up.
2. The designs suck ass, they look like they were designed by a 14 year old on Roblox, and yet again Goose wonders why it’s only kids who watch this brainrot, these designs don’t look out of place next to shit like Sprunki at bootleg toy stores.
3. The lore is shit, typical mascot horror garbage, also fuck Gangle, she’s a clear attempt to pander to the 2016 tumblrite audience, her mask looks so fucking punchable, I want to punch her in the fucking mask till she cries. I hope she abstracts next so the fandom seethes hard.
4. It’s a baby show for adults, did you see the latest episode? They told Jax that bullying Gangle is wrong, they’re straight up teaching lessons of friendship in this so called "adult show".

There are some positives, the animation and expressions could look good when they aren’t trying to make the next reaction image, and I like Caine, but all in all this show is shit, it’s like the failed abortion between Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared and Popee the Performer (and Popee was the one drinking while pregnant cause that show is shit too).

Designs play a bigger part in a product than you may think. Digital Circuses designs look simplistic and colorful, which is one of the biggest reasons why kids consume the shit out of this show. Why else do you think they’re used as fodder by bootleg-selling gift stands at the mall? This is why shit like Poppy Playtime, Rainbow Friends, and Sprunki all gain audiences of IPad kids. Digital Circuses designs needed more thought put into them so they wouldn’t fall into the same category as these, I will admit Caine is the only good-looking design in the show, with his cartoony body and such, that’s why most of his expressions land, I wish the rest of the designs were as good as his.

Like giving credit where credit is due if this does count as a kids show at least it dosent feel oversanitized and safe like any modern cartoon on television, that’s one of the benefits of indie animation.

There's very little else to watch. It might not -be- good, but scarcity makes it just as good as anything else. Same reason people still watch hazbin and helluva; absolutely terrible shows on a vacuum, but with the way things are nowadays, any show that doesn't make you physically ill is a fair way to waste 22 minutes.

Digital circus is weird because it has decent character design and as far as structure goes it does feel like it's trying to get good sometimes, but then it proceeds to immediately kill its own momentum. Which if that was the point then more power to it, but it clearly isn't that type of hyper-experimental show, it wants to have its plot As and plot Bs and character development and continuity and lore juggled with random humor and witty character interactions, but they don't fill the air with enough noise ironically enough, so for most episodes it just feels like it drags on and on. Rare case in which I think a 15-minute format or even an 11-minute format would do it wonders.

Looking back, the closest to an episode proper is the kingler one.

One issue with those three designs that bugs me is the fact that they have circular heads, IMO that’s kinda lazy character design, it may seem like a small detail but it cause their designs to be less unique and appear more amateur-like, think about it, you know what other kind of design has circular heads? Roblox slop like Rainbow Friends and brainrot shit like Sprunki. Jax definitely has a unique idea going for him with his face, but his body shape ruins the design. I’m not saying a character design with a circular head can’t work, there’s tons of well-known characters with round heads, it just needs to be executed well, especially in a cartoon that’s supposed to be expressive like TADC.

I thought the first 2 episodes were very fun (especially 2) and the third one was sweet but the last two have been kind of meh.
