Why did Sentinel Prime steal everyone's for?
Is he gay or something?

Everything probably would have been alright if everyone wasn't constantly telling him not to kill Sentinel. If they just killed Sentinel things probably would have went much differently. I don't think anyone would have argued that Hitler ought to have been executed for what they did during World War II. Orion willing to die to protect a Monster was probably what pushed D-16 over the edge.

i know people meme about media literacy, but jesus christ anon. there's no "probably" about it, the movie outright tells you this is what happened. the characters were LITERALLY HANGING OVER AN EDGE WHEN IT HAPPENED.

TF has declined in popularity regardless, so TF One always had it difficult. I still think the best way to revive interest is with a new cartoon instead of a movie, but a high budget, wide audience reaching cartoon of the likes we haven't had since Prime. If the rumours about Kirkman licensing Skybound TF for an animated adaptation are true, it might be the best chance the franchise will have in a while.

I mean it in the sense that it was able to grab both newcomers and people who were alreay fans, and it wasn't unilaterally directed to a single age demographic (unlike RiD 2015 or Netflix' WFC).

it did not though. It failed miserably and basically killed Hasbro's interest in the Hub since it became a money sink.

The cartoon that did well, sold a lot of toys, and had to turn down more seasons?

Are animators ever responsible for failures? Because they sure do seem to demand every scrap of credit for success.

It turned off some parts of the fanbase by appealing mostly to kids (which is something logical with it being the main demographic), and most of what followed has had a similar tone.

>It turned off some parts of the fanbase
The parts turned off were already fans who were just reading IDW anyway (which also shilled the more collector targeted toys).

mediocre, boring movie.
Transformers needs to be a niche property again. Give the media to the Japanese(a good set this time, not the hacked out 2000's stuff)
