Cautiosuly optimistic. I'm more than willing to have Doomsday and SW be absolute dogshit (which is the most likely scenario) if we can have an at the veryleast decent FF film.

>Last hope for the MCU
Spider-man movies always end up doing well, and if they made an Iron Man 4 bringing back RDJ somehow or an original Avengers reunion they'd make good money too.
Remember how when Shang-Chi and Eternals disappointed it was the end of the MCU until NWH came out?

It's the biggest showcase of desperation the studio has done. If he is indeed a Stark variant you're throwing away all the potential of the character to just do a bastardization, and if he's just Victor then it's a weirdass desicion whose only ever purpose was to attract public consciousness.

That ending was fan speculation really. Leaks from insiders and people who attended the test screening have it that the FF succeed at driving Galactus off Earth by throwing him into a portal leading him to a remote part of the galaxy. Sue dies in the final battle but Franklin revives her.

It's solid standard action 00's show, the 90's show is weird it starts off it's kind of throwaway goofy cheesy Saturday Morning show for the first season and then the second season it becomes more traditional Fantastic Four overall it's fine, it has my personal favorite voice for Dr.Doom though I like how he just sounds like a classy anime villain instead of the standard accent or deep voice.

Instead we got boring energy powers and a writer who felt she had to give a lecture on the Partition of India

I know Reed mostly relies on his brain instead of his powers but he still does some crazy shapes from time to time, so yeah it's a bummer they only stick to basic stretching. Live-action has proven to be a difficult realm to translate stretchy powers; I haven't seen it, but I've heard Netflix' One Piece is the only piece of media where they have nailed them.

I really like the character but his cinstant wank really shows a big misunderstanding around him. He is fun and complex, but to call him the moral option is merely a superficial reading. I personallt like 2015 SW but most people just glaze over God Doom and praise him as the hero despite the comic itself depicting him as a lazy, self-indulgent fuck who could have restored the multiverse immediatley but spent 8 years doing nothing in order to fulfill his fantasies. As of now, OWUD has been pure Doomwank, and it seems like they'll try to use the "actually, he's been doing some bad stuff behind the scenes so he shouldn't be in power" card instead of exploring why the notion of an autocrat on itself is a negative thing.

He's a variant of Stark just like Fox Johnny Storm is a variant of MCU Steve Rogers. Nothing more.

Rumor is he will use his resemblance to Stark to trick the Avengers into trusting him, though.

I do think they'll do more with the RDJ casting than just a plot convenience. However it's ultimately executed, the meta aspect will probablybe there, specially since a big part of the sagahas been the films recognizing themselves as works of fiction.

oh wow, I really hated that trailer, like a lot. Usually I just give these things a pass when they make dumb changes or whatever or write it off as y'know can't be 1:1 with the comics but I actually hated this.

there's so many, many errors all over the place from characters to usage of powers to the ol' fuck the audience this doesn't belong to you anymore trope.

He's most likely only in the PCS.
Keep in mind, this film was well into the writing process when Feige & co. decided to pivot from Kang to Doom, so he was never going to feature in a big capacity.
