If Superman is a success, James Gunn will just make his own Batman. He even wanted to make a Brave and the Bold movie with Damian Wayne as Robin.
This is especially since Matt Reeves is too busy dealing with personal issue (that he won’t reveal to the public) and WB is sick of waiting forever to milk Batman.
The only way WB would consider The Batman 2 is if Gunn Superman bombs. Then they will wait for Matt Reeves to get over whatever sad thing he is going through and let him make The Batman 2 ten years from now since The Batman managed to make more money than most of their recent DC movies (more so than Black Adam, Blue Beetle, The Suicide Squad, The Flash, Aquaman 2, and Shazam 2).
