Valentino was a massive shit. I genuinely could not stand him. Even though I really liked a lot of the supernatural stuff the show has going on. The supporting kids, outside of the obvious two or three exceptions, were also annoying. It's the kind of show where there was gold to be made from it but I think it needed a bit more trimming among the cast and some priorities straightened out.

It's a nonsensical image that doesn't make sense so irl examples are not gonna be following it that closely. And I was assuming it was Onyx Equinox because its creator looks pretty castiza, but she's also female.

The dull style was less the issue and more that the show was pretty much equal parts boring and annoying. Also CN trying to bury Villainous while using this thing as their Mexican representation was pretty pathetic.
All this show had going for it was a couple of cute girls and some sort of shitty but still mildly interesting depictions of Mexican folklore monster.
