Gen Alpha Turtles are getting their own comic
Written by someone who was an assistant on the show and did Loud House comics
>>149171165 (OP)Good for them. Anyway, I guess this as good a thread as any to discuss this universe's Shredder.
>>149171320Mask of the Phantasm style.
The Turtles get a new student at their school, Oroku Karai, who hits it off well with them, especially Leo. We later see her get picked up by "her father" in an oddly familiar van.
Later, the boys are out crime fighting when Shedder, after observing them in action, proceeds to dog walk them before Splinter and the Mutanimals bail them out.
>>149171165 (OP)The style will lend itself well to comics. It reminds me a touch of Tank Girl if the style was a blend of Jamie Hewitt's colors, grittly line work, and sense of kinetic energy mixed with the more exaggerated shapes and geometry of Ashley Wood's interpretation.
>>149171165 (OP)Odd connection, but I guess that's better than Marvel not contacting Semper for Spider-Man 94.
Oh, wait, its just a 3-issue mini. Nevermind.
Why is Hun depicted like such a stupid character in this show? Isn't he normally supposed to be pretty smart or at least somewhat cunning?
>>149171379Oh, maybe TCRI develops mind chips of the mutants, and that's how we get Bebop and Rocksteady working for Shredder.
I wish Angel was in the 2012 show
>>149171165 (OP)Literally nobody cares about Mutant Mayhem shit.
>>149171963They keep screwing Hun up.
>>149173573you lost risetard, your show is dead and burried. 2003 is the millennial show, 2012 is the zoomer show and MM is the gen alpha show. Rise will forever be this generations the next mutation...
>>149171165 (OP)>Gen Alpha Turtles kek is that what we're calling them?
New Saturday Morning Adventures comic reveal Lotus Blossom's real name is Himiko, which mean she is FW Pimiko.
>>149176738where was ths published colorized?
>>149177040IDW republished all the issues in color and had three new issues done to finish the story.
>>149171933It’s two 3-issue arcs to start with. The second arc will feature Fugitoid.
>>149175877I call them corporate artificially maintained failures. I genuinely doubt that THESE turtles are popular. For god's sake they were trained by a Splinter who is NOT a martial artist voice by Jackie Chan go figure. At least Jackie Chan voices an actual martial artist in Kung Fu Panda's Monkey character. And that's the thing, Kung Fu Panda does the whole Animal Martial Artists routine BETTER than Seth Rogen Ninja Turtles.....and funny enough Seth Rogen voices Mantis from Kung Fu Panda.
It's like these two bastards Jewish Seth Rogen and Communist Jackie Chan saw Kung Fu Panda and said "We can make it worse!" which is how we got TMNT Mutant Mayhem.
I swear Nickelodeon is headed for a rude awakening because no way Mutant Mayhem 2 is going to succeed. The first movie had a poor box office if we're honest. And the main premise of the movie is everything that fans of NInja Turtles resents, forget about wacky wild adventures with four mutant brothers it's time to go to school and do your homework so you are normal.
>>149171320I wish we get to see Miyamoto Usagi in the MM world. I've been on a Usagi Yojimbo kick for a while and Rise of the TMNT never got to do their own Usagi arc…
>>149178139Risefag, everything you said applies to RofTMNT, stop coping bud its over dead and burried. Black April and Dyke Casey killed the franchise
>>149178081Hopes/fears for the Vol.4 revival?
>>149180136I wanna say an ending would be nice, but modern Laird...
>>149175026Which is sad, as it really was the most original of its contemporaries. You gotta give it that.
>>149181337Its Image TMNT. Color can't really hurt or help it either way.
>>149174078Hun hasn't been remotely effective since 2003 and his Mirage debut - and even then he was a complete jobber in those too.
>>149182708>his Mirage debutI heard we were supposed to get more out of that storyline before Laird selling out pulled the plug.
>>149182730There were tons of stories that needed continuing before Laird sold.
>>149180450about as original and the shit I took this morning, it was blue
>>149175026>risetardeveryone who hates mutant mayhem is a 2003fag, not a rise fan. 2003fags hate any TMNT that isn't edgy crap like that show.
>>149171379Fukuhara cannot do a fitting voice for Karai lmao
>>149183808t. Never watched The Village Bride
>>149182794sure buddy, it was total '03boomers that got 7 seasons and definitely not Risefags that got btfo'd after 2 seasons and a shit movie. Anyways '03 will be remember longer than Rise will be
>>149171165 (OP)I'm from the timeline next door where Travis Knight is going on his 4th Turtle flick. How's everything over here?
>>149183850'03 is already more present in the public consciousness than Rise is and it's 20 years old. Modern Turtles is basically defined by '03 in many ways, still affecting the Turtles' personalities, several side characters like Hun and Angel sticking around as mainstays, and arguably one of the most iconic Shredder designs after the '80s cartoon.
Rise is buried six feet under, I've never seen merch, never seen anyone talk about it. It's never referenced in anything, and its only legacy is /co/ talking about how it is annoying.
>>149184419>arguably one of the most iconic Shredder designs after the '80s cartoon.2003 shredder pretty much objectively has the best shredder design in the entire franchise
>>149184419>Leo become simp to some female villain.2003 also opened Pandora's Box.
>>149185507Eh, Leo was a villain simp in 2003 in general long before Karai came along. Every couple episodes near the start of the show he'd end up getting tempted at least briefly by bad guys because he has an inferiority complex and thinks Splinter is doing him dirty.
>>149174078Hun was never a good character. Even IDW made him Casey's father and it was still boring.
>>149185890hun was fine in the cartoon, all he needs to be is a big brute who works for shredder while not being retarded like bebop and rock steady
the entire point is just to give shredder a middleman between the foot clan and the purple dragons, he's fine enough when he fills that role but he has to be at least somewhat intimidating even if he's a jobber of the highest order
