Comics take too long to make and webcomics are too difficult to monetize. For the amount of time needed to produce them you need to be able to do it as a dayjob, that's why so many webcomics started when the creator was in college with more free time and why they end once the creator needs to get a job that will pay the bills. There's just not enough time left over in the average person's day to dedicate to a webcomic.

Sinfest was never "amazing" (personally I think it only ever barely got past acceptable) but the fact that Tats reinvented himself to become pander to feminists only to reinvent himself AGAIN to pander to the QAnon crowd will never not be funny to me.
