Chapter 99: Page 29
Something about the beholder, I suppose.

You gonna partition that bird, Kat?
>>149176401 (OP)Ah yes, the device information array
>>149176415She's gonna partition it so hard.
Because birds are smart creatures, Kat. The intelligence of crows emerges from a combination of their advanced problem-solving skills, remarkable memory, intricate communication, social aptitude, and capacity for innovative behaviours. These attributes collectively position crows as highly intelligent creatures in the world.
>>149176466Are you an ai bot, what the heck?
>>149176401 (OP)Oh no Kat is going to get horny
A bird is a bird
*unzip clit*
>>149176521Oh yes, lesbain avisophilian action.
>>149176529>*unzip clit*Kat would have a clit zipper, that little cenobite
>>149176682>kat open the avat editor>push slider at max value>little *sigh*>upload modpack.bin, reload avatar creation>push slider way beyond the visible limit of the gauge>*yup, it's gamer time*
is this chapter still going on jesus
>>149176401 (OP)Now Katerina. I know what you're thinking. Do not the cyborg bird granny.
>>149176720this arc ended when Jones just left
>>149176773yeah
just walked right out of the comic, and readers would be wise to follow her

>>149176401 (OP)We didn't need to see this. They already explained what happened. I'm sick of Kat hijacking every other chapter.
>>149176415Kat: ... What that beak do?
>>149176979It's almost as if she's the co-lead and near all powerful now
>>149177281being a main character is the opposite of validating lazy shallow deus ex crap
Jones is a funnier and more exciting character
So... How's Omega not seeing (or stopping) Kat, if quite obviously, the bird is looking right fucking at her, and Omega can pop anywhere she wants in the blink of an eye?
>>149177724that's not a real place, it's just virtual construct. I expect cat pushing a button or removing some video card game from the device, and when she leave we see the reality of a flesh computer with its heart on the floor, bleeding to death
Returning to the old ways
>>149177724bad author; bad fans
>>149177724Kat already broke Omega's access to her powers. Whether that bird is her presence in the machine or a leftover part of her, she can't do anything about Kat.
>>149178154>Kat already broke Omega's access to her powersWait, this isn't a flashback? I figured this was showing how she partitioned Omega
If not, then why did Kat need to attach herself to Omega again? And who is the bird? The machine version of Omega? Why is Kat surprised to see her? Shouldn't she have been here before?
God this comic fucking sucks
I guess I now know how those poor bastards still following BCB feel
>>149176401 (OP)>Information array Memory, Kat.
It's called memory.
You really should know that.
>Kat split Omega's soul and removed her powers by unplugging a birdWow it's a really good thing she knew she could do that or this plan would have been really stupid!
>>149178172Maybe you're right. It just felt like once they secured Omega (the girl), Kat was free to go look at the machine.
>>149177396Jones is immortal static object where the only thing you can do to her is put her in space
>>149177724This is all happening at computer speed the moment she plugged in the seed hack
She's in the mainframe
Rabbits, flu shots
the bird isn't omega as a person, seeing and acting as a bird in the virtual verse, the bird is merely the icon of the datafile of her consciousness. Because we are getting rid of the duality of science and magic now, soul is just something you can put in a usb stick.
What made Kat think this was not only possible, but so guaranteed to work that they staked everything on this one attempt?
Given what we know about Omega (that she had the powers before any computer equipment was attached) why would anyone think they could cut her off from her powers?
>>149178832Because we're firmly in "Characters do what they do because the plot needs them to" territory. Nothing makes sense anymore beyond that.
>>149178832Kat has become the 'do whatever needs doing to move the story forward' plot device. She's been a plot device for a long time now.
>>149178832This was revealed to Kat in a dream.
>>149179907>implying Kat still dreams, like a humanThat's cute!
>>149178832Kat doesn't really need prep time when she can think insanely fast, and has instantaneous manufacturing and teleportation facilities on her beck and call. If she encountered anything she couldn't deal with then and there, it's would be serious enough to abort the whole plan.
>>149180117We still have to remind people every thread that she is literally a god.
>kat is actually gonna fuck omega
God Tom is a hack
>>149180405>Kat fucks Omega>Zimmy dies from cringeThe prophecy is complete
>>149180405>kat is actually gonna fuck omegaOn paper this sounds great but of course it's birds again.
>>149178832Kat asked the Norns and they let her experiment in infinite timelines until she got it just right :)
Or rather, she didn't actually do that, she just looked into a pool of water and said "Oh, I see"
>>149184790No, I ... Understand.
>all of this nonsense started because coyote ate boxbot
>zimmy's entire epic contribution is just being a little bit of a selfish twat. not a huge one, just "ehh i kinda like school 2 better than school 1, ima stay"
>the only negative consequence thus far is some baldie died to spiders, but that only happened because annie led everyone on a vision quest
>omega also likes it here (this is the "main plot"?) and the comic thinks annie is so great that omega specifically kidnapped all her parents/friends to keep her from foiling her plans to have dinner parties and not be in pain all the time
>the macguffin to fix this is kat hacking ??? omega's brain or parallel port or whatever and tom dropping very basic bitch dell computer jargon
did i miss anything
>>149178832Because she's basically a god now.
So how are all the other students dealing with the "distortion"
It still just feels very unclear what the deal is. Like, they're just walking around here and everyone's fine. Did they forget they were supposed to be in some kind of The Cell-like dreamscape? And literally every adult is just not doing anything, leaving it to Annie to solve the "problem", whatever exactly the problem is. Oh yeah every adult except Tony, Anja, Donnie, and Annie's friends are all handwaved out of the story because they're fucking off to Earth 2. It feels like this entire mess has absolutely no direction whatsoever, it's just a series of short soap opera mini-vignettes except without the drama tension and climax, with all the world building this comic spent 2 decades on just reduced to a chatgpt pastiche of itself.
This page bugs the hell out of me. We were all still high on nude Jones at the time so no one said anything, but it's just so.. what?
>Annie's been running around like crazy
Ok, what has *literally anyone else* been doing? Do they just wake up and go "Oh, I'm still in the distortion- even though everything looks fine, and there's no spiders anywhere. Guess I'll make some coffee. Are there classes today? Do I need to get dressed?"
like what the fuck is going on
or rather, why does it seem like really NOTHING is going on
And the very next page. Once again we were dazzled by smug Annie and her date with Jones, but
>hurr durr Annie you're so great. You've brought all these people that can use their special skills together
Use their special skills to do WHAT? The only thing that happens is Kat's deus ex machina. What are all these people doing with their "skills" hanging out in a gymnasium together? It's like they don't have any reason to exist at all except as filler content to show Annie is "smart" for "bringing them together".
Also the witch bitches seem to be doing just fine living in a cozy little bungalow down the street. They even have nice interior decorating with all their witch things and they can sit down and have a cup of tea. This is still inside the " distortion " right? Did Tom forget? What is literally supposed to be the big deal then? I guess classes are canceled, but you can still hang out?
This comic is a fucking mess.
>>149185471Ghastly, isn't it?
>>149185509There haven't been any classes for a while. Since the first Loup attack.
>>149185549Most people seem to be living perfectly fine in the distortion, which makes sense. They just have trouble getting around.
Don't ask about food, energy and water supply though.
>>149185537Congratulations, you got distracted just like Meg got so Kat can do everything she's been doing the last few pages
>>149185509>We were all still high on nude Jones at the time so no one said anything, but it's just so.. what?I think I was so underwhelmed by this entire sequence i didnt even bother complaining
>>149189141I was more focused on how Annie was acting so strangely.
