Realistically, where does he go from here? The nu-ultimate universe seems very endgame for the character.

after Secret Wars, Molecule Man split up the Maker into slices and embedded him in multiple universes, meaning there's a bunch of Makers running around in the multiverse, all of them trying to get back to their old dimension. one of them appeared in Cates' Venom run and managed to find his way back to 1610, setting up the original plans for Ultimate Invasion that got cancelled after Cates' accident. instead of abandoning the entire thing, Hickman decided to use a different Maker variant and took reins on the new Ultimate Universe, leading to today. so even if this guy dies, there's still other Makers to use in the future

he probably thought he was torturing the Maker across several universes but too dumb to realize it'd only cause further problems. or maybe he did realize but simply didnt care, the short-term results were gratifying enough for him
of course the IRL reason is so they can have him simultaneously in multiple storylines

He's going to get exconmunicated from 6161 and his influence from that universe is going to be reversed so that universe resembles reality and Marvel can sell evergreen versions of New Ultimate books.
After that I assume he goes back to 616 and ends up being in the rotation of scheming big bad villains with, Doom, Red Skull, Thanos and Kang and waits his turn for a summer crossover built around him.
