nope
(a) didn't last as long
(b) not as much impact (e.g. titles, sales, etc.)

both will be viewed very much as NOT success in LESS than 20 years

Rebirth was a decent enough course correction but it's basically over before it even starts. New 52 had some ass decisions and bad art, but you could some good runs here and there. More importantly though it was around longer and feels more like an era. The positive era of Rebirth was too short lived

Rebirth was more of a return to form and saving DC from plummeting sales. It was fun while it lasted but New 52 had a greater impact for the time being. Funny enough that both were ruined by Didio.

Teen Titans was a tragedy
And Superman was fucked by the editors
And the cherry on top Tom King's Batman

that other anon has no idea what they're talking about. yes, DC keeps rebooting or introducing new status quo resets every once in a while, while Marvel is allergic to anything of that sort (even their big 2015 event ended with virtually zero changes except Miles moving over to main continuity)

Rebirth was delusional superfags claiming DC is finally saved since New62 Superman and Lois were being killed off and replaced with "pre-Flashpoint" incarnations. Bendis was then hired and promoted to Superman writer and all things Superman.

As far as I could tell at the time, it wasn't an actual reboot - the universe is still the one created by the events of Flashpoint that we know as the New 52 - but just kind of a tacit admission that the New 52 sucked and books were going to resemble the old status quo more going forward. But also New 52 Superman died.

It was Johns hitting the undo button on New 52 because it was such a mess and sales disaster at the time. Things were either reversed or certain comics tackled undoing things their way. And some New 52 changes carried over but most of it was thrown out. That's why the Rebirth teaser was "It's not a reboot and it never was."

Because Rebirths changes didn't happen in Rebirth. It all wend down in Superman comics.
>Convergence caused pre flashpoint Superman and Lois to arrive in the new 52 when the JL fought Darkseid for the first time.
>New 52 Superman dies and Lex who had reformed became Superman
>Pre flashpoint Clark throws a fit and reveals himself to the world
>New 52 JL are weirded out by him
>He saves Myxlplyx who then merges the pre and post flashpoint timelines together into the complete cluster fuck that is Rebirth just so the weirdness isn't there.

Rebirth was getting hate when it first came out. Some claim it wouldn't last. Some mourned the lost of Superbro. A few didn't like how they fused Pre-Flashpoint and Post-Flashpoint Superman and Lois Lane together. But it was being drowned out by certain fans that was zealously claiming Rebirth was great and confident that DC finally course corrected themselves. Bendis then got hired, Super Sons and Supergirl solo cancelled, and Jon got aged up.

Because Rebirth like DC Comics was an empty promise.

DC said they would get their shit together and respect their characters.

Instead they went back on everything and now things are even worse than the New 52.

At this point, the only thing DC deserves is bankruptcy.

No one understands DC continuity. Waid recently in his mini-series relegated to “correcting” the continuity was exposed on Twitter for finding information from fan sites. The last time someone understood DC continuity was when Wolfman before Crisis read through the entirety of the DC archives to understand the scope of the story he was writing. And that was 40 years ago.

Most of it isn't good or interesting, it's weighed down by prior baggage, too much reliance on an assembly line process, editorial meddling, and shared universe nonsense.
What I have liked have been exceptions.

Basically everything that happened to Wonder Woman in The New 52 was a magical halucination.

Finch and Rucka are hacks. After Finch retconned Azz's run, Rucka retconned Finch's run. Think another writer eventually retconned Rucka's run.

One of the biggest problems with 5G was that it wasn't a bunch of characters who exist and have fanbases taking over it was a bunch of new characters. Like promote the Titans, promote the Young Justice kids, why are you trying to launch of a bunch of OCs

Why push characters like and care about and want to see when you can force your new OC trashfire and get royalties!

Because fans didn’t grow a pair stop being cucks shutdown all the agenda driven shill plants and actually protect these established ips, by getting people like didio fired, of course manga took over they know to gatekeep and protected their establishment you needed to have done something to fight back
