How much does Bob pay them to work in the restaurant each day?

If he does at all, he basically admitted to only employing them to avoid hiring actual help.

I mean most of what they do is just tidy up a bit: wipe down the menus, marry the ketchups and bussing tables. And they half ass all of it
Tina's the only one who does any actual work, like mopping the floors, and waiting on customers
but I don't think they actually pay the kids at all

there was even an episode where they tried to get the kids to start doing some chores around the house and Louise started a damn revolt
I don't think these kids realize just how precarious their financial situation is.
They are poor poor and extremely lucky that Fischoeder is fairly easy going

Bob has the worst kids of all animated sitcom dads.

You really don't get how these situations work? How old are you? Or how urban-rural are you?
It's like how farm kids work. The kids aren't "employees", they're "helping out with the family business". You can't exactly employ your own underage children, child labour laws and all that. But you can command your kids to do chores, and you can afford your kids pocket money. These two things are theoretically entirely unrelated. Or there's an abstraction- "You don't get your pocket money this week because you misbehaved, not doing your chores". It's you not getting paid because you didn't do your job... but it's not that, you don't have a job, and your petty chores aren't professional labour.

If you think Bob PAYS his children, then you've never seen an episode of Bob's Burgers.

Seriously. I'm currently on a KotH binge, and it's insane how Bobby merges the best parts of Tina with the best parts of Gene. From what I've heard, his character stays intact for the full series run. If that's true, then I'll be even more impressed 'cause I've hated Gene since probably Season 8 or 9.

Honestly I at this point I like to think that Fischoeder allows them to be late on the rent cause he enjoys the Belchers companies, he showed to have a close likely towards Bob and if he kick them and they move away he wouldn't have anyone else around to entertain him, he pulls April Fools pranks on Bob every years it isn't applied that he does that to anyone else, plus he owes the Belchers a life-debt or two, they him when he was choking to death on a burger, save him from being almost killed by his brother and soon after his fiance and save his life again from dying his cousin attempted to killed him and Felix and they also clear his name and save him from prison when he was fame for murder.

Funny how half the time he was put in a life threatening situation it's due to someone in his family who's trying to kill him.
