Why did Animaniacs and Tiny Toons get games up until 2005? By then tons of better cartoons surpassed them, and I doubt there was an audience.

Animaniacs wasn't even rerunning on TV anymore in 2005 (not counting the Nicktoons channel, which was expensive to have, meaning a lot of people didn't have it). why did it even have video games in 2005 like Great Edgar Hunt?

cartoon games were sort of always a thing from the start. for some reason disney did more for Mickey in licensing him out to japs to make good games than they ever did for him in cartoons past like, the 40s.
then Sonic became huge, and everyone was scrambling to be more like Sonic, without understanding what Sonic is and why he's cool. So they were like "cartoons, that's Sonic, right? sure crank out more noodly oldtimey cartoon games" even though they were basically the opposite.
and I like animaniacs and Sonic so I'm not like, takin sides. but they are as far from each other as you can get.

yeah Tiny Toons was never good
first of all:
>older
they were already really ambiguous in age. Mostly autonomous, with largely-unseen parents, and attending a university
secondly, the basic premise (these are the new Looney Tunes, they're training to replace the old ones) is negated by a more profound statement the show made, which followed clean through Animaniacs and beyond (Cartoon characters never grow old as long as they are remembered).
You could, in theory, make a version of it that's meta commentary on how our generation was encouraged to go to college only for there to be no jobs, and how the only one who ever "got work" after Tiny Toons was Elmyra (who was presumably there on the human affirmative action ticket in the first place), but.. that's it. It would have to be a show about failure. I'm not sure Warner even understands what failure is.

This. The GBA is lot more powerful than people give it credit for. For some reason a lot of people assume it has SNES like specs, presumably because most of the low effort GBA shovelware looks like C-tier SNES games. Also it was among the first very successful ARM machines on the market (now they're ubiquitous because a ton of smartphones use the architecture, but back in the day it was pretty rare).

That was less about Duck Dodgers and more because Marvin the Martian had a HUGE surge in popularity in the 90s for whatever reason. It was pretty common to see him among the main cast on merchandise. WB suddenly remembering Duck Dodgers existed was because of how closely associated the two are.

Looney Tunes Back in Action and the Duck Dodgers cartoon were kind of a last spurt of that.

Outstanding contracts and obligations? Just because something isn't in vogue anymore doesn't mean you have to stop making things that money was already poured into.

Except in this case. Which I don't blame because frankly it looks generic.

In a way the GBA was a somewhat cut down and anemic SNES. It could do 3D fairly well, albeit in very low polygon counts, it had thousands of colors available, and even had connectivity with the GameCube for games like Four Swords and Sonic Battle. Hell, it has Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, albeit it struggled, it still HAD them.
The GBA was a good machine. The PSP is still a nicer hand held but the GBA has better nostalgia factors.

I've seen people get all mad at this criticism and deflect it by saying
>umm of course people are going to search for stuff relevant to their life/childhood, you idiot
But they never explain why it's always stuff meant for actual 4-and-under audiences and not even something for like...the 6-11 range at the bare minimum. They never stop to consider that it does indeed look strange that they are so laser focused on early childhood stuff specifically.

I couldn't even remember that one.
Even the more straightforwardly "cartoony" bits like Buttons and MindyMitzy? Idk lack a certain quality that the classic loony tunes shorts had.
I chalk it up to the boys at termite terrace being allowed to do basically whatever so long as they met their deadlines, you couldn't do that with 80s/90s Warner Brothers.
Also the classics themselves were running out of steam by the sixties and were unwatchable by the 70s, and that's which Chuck Jones continued involvement.

Also, not reading your own images, it was doing GREAT and CN internally got jealous of it and kept trying to give it shitty timeslots, before shoving it into the graveyard that was Boomerang, in a time when many families didn't want to pay for a bunch of extra channels no one in the house was gonna watch.
