Official info about the upcoming Villainous series we got straight from the crew so far via Xwitter and Streams:
>Ties of Thieves will maybe have an elaborated opening to explain all the previous events (since they can't directly reference the stuff CN owns)
>The tone of the show will be way more mature than the original series
>the art style for the animation is an upgrade from the main show, and they will try that to be the art style from Villainous from now on
>the art style will keep improving and being polished, they don't want it to just be a motion comic but something more
>If Ties of Thieves does well, it can be dubbed to other languages
>Episodes will be around 20 minutes long
>There will be a good balance between comedy and action so there's no mood whiplash
>The episodes will release depending on how the production develops, how many views they get and how well it does overall (they need LOTS of money for the animation and dubs obviously), there isn't a regular release date so each episode might take a year or more to release
>First episode should be coming at the end of this year
>They'll need to upload it twice (First in Spanish then English) since they don't have enough subs for multiple audio tracks

So the show is alive but as a indie show, CN dropped it but the creator and the studio have the full rights to all the characters they created, they just can't use characters owned by WB,DC and CN

The crew mentioned probably having do an abridged version of all the previous events since Cartoon Network owns the TV show and the comic so we don't know if stuff happened the exact same way on this continuity, the Heed book had to be delayed so they could remove all the references to CN/WB and the second season that never came out, this series will obviously ignore the unreleased second season as well, but they still mention Miss Heed in the trailer, her book is coming out still (without the Cartoon Network logo, with the references to season 2 and CN's characters removed), she is getting and figurine later this year and she got a Calendar and and keychains this year as well, neither of which has any mention of Cartoon Network, Turner or Warner Brothers on them like the merch from previous years did
they said the first episode is coming out near the end of this year, as you can see the show keeps getting merch but this time without Cartoon Network's logo as they no longer have anything to do with it, apparently the show got "tax write off'd" leaving at least 10 fully finished episodes unreleased forever

Considering there is cameos of Cartoon Network characters in this franchise every now and then (even though their somehow was one of Obelix from the Asterix books in the Black Hot episode)I'm just expecting or imagining in a later episode or in the Spin-off series a portrait in the background like this one from the Winnie the Pooh ride at Disneyland, but with Black Hat being alongside a demon that somehow resembles Blitzo from Helluva Boss as Black Hat and Blitzo's companies that they run are pretty similar.

I will say what i said last thread, i think Black Hat has already "won" and controls both the heroes and villains behind the scenes which explains why some of the heroes and P.E.A.C.E are insufferable assholes and there appears to be some sort of generational shift

Villainous did really well in ratings but once merging happened, they cut lots of shows…villainous was not part of those cut-offs but they were going to give Alan half the money from season one. Ituriel asked double the money to keep making more and they ditched him.

I hope she has more pictures that they can put on the Villainous Fan Wiki (even ones that someone took of her in a more "private" situation) as this one image of Miss Heed reminded me of a Shadbase/Shadman comic where this girl says she doesn't want to die doing something suggestive while in front of a news crew.

Also does anyone think those Shadbase/Shadman comics with that family in them, could take place in the same Universe as Villainous own one or something?

What do you think is a mature story? I mean, these guys have talked about government corruption (P.E.A.C.E.), subjective morality based on conflicts of interest between vulnerable groups (everything related to Penumbra and the city of Atreno), and the influence of the media on the population, and how they lie to benefit certain people (Miss Heed).

I mean, they're not writing Watch Men or anything like that, but it doesn't seem like something written by Viviene Medrano either.
