Expect TCW 2008 wasnt disney. It was years before disney and the early arguments were always how Genndy Wars was just pure aura. TCW 2008 was lucas trying to include more of his personal spin on things.

I used to be fine with 2008 but ever since its pseudo revival and Bad Batch I have reverted back into being a 2003 fanboy

08 clone Wars was an okay show, not too great but not terrible. It was just more itneresting to finally have a Star Wars show on tv after all these years.

The episodes that never really dealt with the wars or clones at all but just had a couple jedi going on an adventure were the best parts.

Was that not obvious? Before Disney the rule was only shit Lucas worked on was canon, everything else is EU. Every other book, comic, short, cartoon, special etc were all EU except the movies George personally made.

The thing is, EU erasure is all well and good if it's replaced with stuff that's as good, or better. The TCW Mandos are fine, actually, and in fact are a pretty interesting idea. Satine's faction and such, the pacifists. The Mandalorians have spent literally thousands of years trying to conquer the galaxy and getting their asses kicked in the attempt. It makes a lot of sense that sooner or later a faction among them would be like, "Hey, guys, this isn't really working, maybe we should try something different." And in fact that's the entire point of the Mandalore arc in TCW, the struggle between people who want something different for the Mandos and groups like Death Watch that want to keep to the old ways, for good or ill.

That was a GOOD idea. The trouble with Disney's slop is that it's full of BAD ideas. Disney threw out the EU and has replaced it with a lot of stuff that's vastly worse, even worse, I'd argue, than the EU at its absolute worst. And even Disney's best stuff has tended to just be old EU ideas with a fresh coat of paint. If you're going to throw out something on the scale of the Expanded Universe, you'd better prove you can replace it with something better. And Disney clearly can't.
