Do you honestly think Princess Bubblegum was truly a misunderstood character in the series and in the public eye?

What I want to know is why /co/ still seethes over Bubbline when there were much, MUCH better options for Finn out there.

I think the characterisation of most AT characters became a clusterfuck because different writers wanted them to be different things.

Serious question: do you think making PB a more morally gray character was a good idea? How well would you say it was executed?

I think it's misguided to judge a character who is basically a god that created most of the life around her and has been an absolute monarch for hundreds of years by the same standards as the other characters in this show. Given her whole backstory and role in the world i think its kind of impossible for her to be as pure as any of the others and she could do a whole lot worse. Also, if you want to take it to the end of the show, she does grow a lot morally despite how messily its handled at times.
