I wish my social worker was like this. Hank never abused Bobby but atleast Twig Boy seemed to care and tried to do the right thing from his point of view.

I had abusive mother and though there was a social worker, she was a fat woman, not a skinny man and unlike Twig Boy, she didn't care and turned a blind eye to the abuse. Whenever she came around the house, my mum would act all polite until she left and then my mum would abuse me and get angry that she had to deal with a social worker so essentially my social worker made things worst and never helped at all. I had to run away and ended up homeless for a while after running away.

I don't know if Twig Boy is an accurate representation of a social worker or just one in the US but from my experience, social workers are the complete opposite of him.

social workers, like psychiatrists and many other ego boosting careers for histrionic women and weak willed men, are just an excuse to assert a small amount of power wherever they can to cope with their own personal mental hangups
like this guy did, they oftentimes make a decision first, and "investigate" second, only because the pencil pushers force them to
if they could they would lock up, abuse, seperate families and medicate anyone who even looked at them funny in the street because those entire fields consist of highly paranoid manic hysterical people who go through life feeling like they'll be victimied any second and need to assert control over others to cope with their own problems
TLDR "world is scary and it's not my fault, put a leash on everyone else so i feel safer!"
