legit, the PBS cartoon is one of the best kids cartoons ever. it only just ended last year. up there with "New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" with comfy kino

because it was ron howard and universal studios investing in big studio feature animation when that was still a thing?

Disney Animation was kind of in the doldrums at the time. Universal still had some lingering pedigree from the days of working with Amblin. There was room on the calendar for these type of movies. (not for much longer)

Someone on /co/ told me this movie holds up as an adult and I got halfway through it waiting for it to get good until I realized I likely fell for a bit. I told a friend about that and he laughed hysterically at me.
