Objectivism, as a philosophy, starts with a handful of assertions that people will generally agree with, and then immediately hard-derails into narcissistic sociopathy as a moral imperative, which obviously tends to lose people. Most people flat out reject any ideology that says that unrestrained greed and accumulation of power is ethically good, and don't agree with the idea that helping other people is somehow morally evil. The people who still 'agree' with objectivism after reading that far into it are generally just monsters looking to pat themselves on the back about it because they are unwilling to recognize their own monstrosity.
