Part of the problem with Miles is no one asked for him and there's no room for him. No one wants Peter to be replaced, and there's no good justification for his character. A twitter hashtag went semi-viral and some hack writer that was only known for ripping off more well known stories decided to steal that idea, too, and he's coasted off social media points ever since. Same. SNES technically had "better" sound, but Genesis games just seemed to handle guitar songs so much better, which is probably why rock music slaps so hard on it.
