>>149297177 (OP)I am no artist. I couldn't draw my way out of a paper bag. I've accepted this cruel disappointment and instead take every opportunity to commission and support actual artists who are making content I want to see more of. I don't want actual artists to be replaced, but I do want them to realize that AI is just another tool in their arsenal, one that's admittedly still imperfect and in early days, and one that they can make use of or not as they choose, but a tool all the same.
The only people I want to see replaced are the people who, like me, have no fucking aptitude for making art, but who, unlike me, insist they should still get money for it: Webcomic makers who drag along hundred of patrons for years just rearranging the same cut-and-paste assets every week; people who think typing a company's name in a white sans-serif font and slapping it on a plain single-color background is "graphic design"; etc.
