I read a couple numbers and watched a couple episodes the other day while a bit stoned: Xenozoic Tales (the comic) is great, but the cartoon is a bit watered down for my taste. The comic imo does a good job mixing post-apocalyptic stuff with the "Classic African colonial adventures" aesthetic.

Yeap, the comic is a banger, not like a cult classic but it stands very well. The cartoon show is just the classic SATAM thing but it's still watchable, the animation is OK and the aesthetics are in tone with the comic.

Always liked the game. Havent really read or watched much more.

I would, but it only lasted 13 episodes. With that short of a run, there ain't much to talk about unless discussions are about the Xenozoic Tales comics I haven't read.

I watched the show back then and thought it was cool, but it sucks that it was stuck on a Saturday morning time slot to begin with. Cadillacs & Dinosaurs felt like a show that could have gotten more mileage on MTV or HBO without having to be toned down for 7 year olds by FCC and S&P crap.

MTV was as S&P as the networks were. If someone in a video was wearing a marijuana leaf shirt or necklace, it got blurred out. And one of MTV’s rules for “Aeon Flux” was no closeups of lips,tits, or asses because it sexualized the character.
