> Let's make it as stereotypical as possible.
It's not a historical film.
>>149316039 (OP)Stereotypes exist for a reason.
>>149316039 (OP)How does one make a 100% accurate ancient Egypt depiction in film? Who has met and spoken to some ancient Egyptians to know how they played out?
>historical
Jews were never slaves in Egypt, the entire thing is a farce. But it's a good farce.
>Katzenberg in particular has attempted to create a Disney-killer in his animation division, which has four major releases planned over the next years: โPrince of Egypt,โ โAntz,โ โShrekโ and โEl Dorado: City of Goldโ
>โPrince of Egypt,โ first out of the block in November 1998, features the voices of Val Kilmer, Ralph Fiennes, Steve Martin and Martin Short. The $70 million pic, which tells the story of Moses, is said to be non-religious. Katzenberg, however, covered his bets from every angle by screening it for major religious leaders throughout the world. Sources say their response has been positively beatific.
>According to those close to the film, Katzenberg is also taking executive producer credit โ something he never did on the animated features that he oversaw at Disney

Rather it's a mythology cobbled together from experiences of other tribes and peoples that they traded with or conquered to create a convenient religious narrative.
>>149317272Shrek obliterated mainstream interest in 2D animation for over two decades.
>>149316039 (OP)The bible is a mythology compendium, not a history book. It has historical references but that does not make it history, it would be like saying we can consider Spider-Man comics historical because New York is depicted accurately aside the fictional elements and that there were issues about real events like 9/11 or Obama's inauguration.

>>149317478>Foot Bird Snake Pot Squiggle SquiggleFuckin' grass crocodile zigzag.
She's a filthy Canaanite, but I get it.
I admire Katzenberg for being experimental, but going from Prince of Egypt to this innocuous movie still felt a bit weird
>Chel is so much more sensual and erotic than anything we were allowed to do in POE
