Want to make a meta-movie about how some people misunderstood the first film and that Joker is utlimetly a patethic and dour figure nobody should ever want to be? Sure, go for it.
But why did you think getting this across by making 75% of this new film an exposition dump of the previous film with people giving commentary on the subtext anything anyone, even people who agree with you, want?
It's not like Watchmen or Specs OPS where it introduces new questions and ideas of what it tears down. It's this lame hypocrisy where the film mocks people for wanting more of the same- But then never actually gives anything new either. It's just more of the same but with the director wagging their finger.
