It's not bad all things considered. On one hand, it's completely overhated when this came out. But on the other, it's honestly disappointing, as I wanted to like it on the same level as something like Aqua Teen, Squidbillies, Superjail, Metalocalypse or 12 Oz. Mouse, as the show has it does have a unique artstyle with some neat gross humor. However, it overstayed its welcome afterwards. It has some cool moments, but it's just whatever

I caught it once or twice on [AS]
Not one of their better shows, forgettable.

Yeah, it was okay. early 2000's shock humour show stuck in the mid 2010's. I liked fine, it was way less horrible than people pretend to be and I like the end of the season were they made fun of all the serialized crap that was going on at the time.

I heard that Lazzo was a big fan, of the Sherrif especially.
It's funny to think that one of the last things he would have done before retiring was to both keep the show going and kill off the title character.

I think this is way closer to a late 90's mid 2000's mind set, because the music style and such and their own inspirations. If it was proper 2000's I would also add some other things in there to fully encapsulate the decade. More optimism about were things are going, less cynical about other things. very specific, tho.

For me, the more edgy, cynicism vibe lasted were from mid-90s through late-2000s/early-2010s-ish, but yea I understand here. It tried to be more early-to-mid-00s, case in point, be influenced by most of the Adult Swim shows that aired during that time

I tried. A friend of a friend thought it was great so we all had to watch a few episodes one evening. I thought it was extremely stupid. It wasn't funny. There was no hook. It was like an SNL sketch that went on for way way way too long.

Yes. The messed up thing was that I had no idea how it got greenlit when Sheriff was a rip off of Sheriff. It turns out that Mike Lazzo just really liked fat bumbling small town cops.
