Was kind of funny how that played out. Since the original appearance in Spiderverse Toei struck down him showing up again until it proved popular with Japanese fans that he was in continuity. Really I think the bigger problem was Marvel didn't ask permission so he's probably good to use in most things as long as Toei gets a call(and possibly a cut).

In flashbacks he's a guy in armor who uses a sword, but since he had the Spider Bracelet I assume he did have Spiderman powers but just never wore the suit, or that the suit was something made with Takuya in mind

He got the job done better than most Spiders, and Leopardon is the strongest weapon/tool/power in the Spider-Verse which means a lot since there's Spider versions of shit like Thor and Hulk. He's not just a good spider, I'd argue that Tatsuya ties with Miguel as the best non-Peter Spider.
