Considering the amount of super heroes here is it really the best idea to live here?

Don't you mean considering the amount of super-VILLAINS? The heroes make the city safer, it's like arguing that more cops make a city less safe.
I'd be happy to live in a city with tons of heroes if I didn't also have to worry about the Wrecking Crew or the Rhino destroying my building.

Area's with more cops tend to have more crime, an area with more heroes would follow the same logic with super villains.

Areas with more cops have more crime because they assign more cops to places with more crime you idiot. Again, the problem isn't the heroes, it's the villains.

Glad you agree with my point that a place with more heroes would have more villains, lest the heroes wouldn't be there.

What the fuck? Writing about a similar situation in the character's world is one thing but this shit is as hamfisted as it is ghoulish. Haven't gotten this vibe since all the 911 tribute comics. Pulse was a tragedy, yes, but framing a gay night club as the greatest expression of love in it's purest form is way out there. Clubs are for getting shitfaced, making poor decisions and letting off steam.

While I get your concern, you need to keep in mind that New York is the place most likely to have major damage reality warped away or fall out of the timeline.

So sure, you're really likely to be killed while living there, but you're ALSO really likely to be quickly revived if you're killed. Whereas if you live in some shithole like Saskatchewan and you eat a meteor or a small black hole or a rogue god or something, you'll probably stay dead for like a few decades.

Every single bullet ever made is a potential tragedy waiting to happen. The fact that the "good guys" are using them too is irrelevant. The bullets dont care who or what they hit, they're just going to do exactly what they're designed to do and nothing more.

The reason a cop pulls the trigger is also irrelevant. The second that gunpowder ignites, all bets are off. The bullet is just going to zip along/ricochet/go off 500 yards down the street into some old lady's kitchen window without a care for who's in it's way.
A bullet is a tool, yes. Like any tool, it can be used for harm, yes. But its rare to find a tool made *specifically for the purpose of harming someone* made so ubiquitous in societal norms. Like, if there were poisonous barbs sticking out of everywhere, and even then slightest nick of your skin means death, wouldn't you find yourself just a wee bit nervous going about your day?

If I was nervous about random things that could kill me I'd never leave the house. Worrying about getting shot when you live in the US is like worrying a random car will decide to pull into the sidewalk you walk on. Nothing I do can stop either thing.

My point isn't they *have* to fire them, it's that they have them to begin with. Im not naive to think we can have a just and peaceful world without the need for violence to enforce it. Im just saying that bullets are, in effect, very small bombs who's explosions we've managed to direct, more or less. But that means there are MILLIONS OF TINY BOMBS literally everywhere just waiting to go off. That thought alone does not give you some pause, anon?

No, why would it?
I could very likely pay for every single bullet fired by my entire country's police force since they got guns in the 60s, due to 4 of them getting killed by a single armed man.
And you know why? Because they don't have to fire them.
Obviously this wouldn't be an exactly replicable feat with US police, since Americans are fucking schizos who'll try to kill them half the time, and due to the high demand for officers, the training is a fucking joke, but the point still stands.
I'm very happy that we have a solid police force, since I'm less likely to get shot.

That's our NYC, Marvel universe NYC has to be cheap as fuck considering the everything that happens there. Like imagine having to explain to your boss that a giant man in a rhino suit bulldozed your car the same week the police had a shootout with Fisk goons on your block.
