>>149338723It's a shame how much they ruined Miguel. I loved how PAD wrote him as just a guy out for himself, a real Nueva York slimeball, and yet, when he had powers, he couldn't just stand by if people were gonna get hurt. It was a fantastic foil to Peter, being someone who had no righteous creed or moral calling to keep him on the straight and narrow, but nevertheless felt some form of great responsibility (which is also why the PAD-written Edge of Time where they team up and butt heads is such a fun ride as well [plus Chris Barnes as Miguel, what a fukken treat that game was for Spidey fans]).
If anything, it feels kinda spiteful, since Miguel is actually the better example of how anyone can be Spider-Man. That even this jerk can rise to the mantle forced on him, and the ideals demanded by everyone from civilians to Thorites to Doom and so on. Of course they'd tear everything about him down in favor of Miles
