I think it's just Superman not transferring to other media as smoothly as Batman and Spider-Man. All they have are the comics. Video games have failed them horribly, they never portray superman correctly in the cartoons and there's only like a few movies they like. Meanwhile Batman has acclaimed cartoons, movies and games and Spidey follows behind closely.
