Why let the story linger on an arc that is centered around transit? She needed to call in a favor and borrow a jet to fly across the world. Why would the audience want to sit and watch her drive to an airport terminal and taxi a jet into the sky and then idle on autopilot for 12 hours? The only plot element occurring during this window is Dash and Violet sneaking onboard, which is what the movie skips to after she she finds out where Bob is.

my rough thoughts for a third movie;

>picturing it being set a year or two after the second movie, where the first film had Bob as the focus character and the second had Helen as the focus character, this time the focus would be jointly on Dash and Violet with them both dealing with the issues of Puberty as Supers(with Dash being an early bloomer and Violet a late bloomer) as well as being the rising stars of a new generation of Supers that is emerging and finding it's own way due to few of the previous generation still being alive, Violet joining up with an all girl team of teen Supers, while Dash gets drawn towards a new movement espousing Supers Supremacy led by the son of Gamma Jack and this leading to conflict between both the two siblings and the respective halves of the Supers community they've aligned with(Violet with the Establishment, Dash with the Revolutionaries) and them having to resolve their issues before it falls into outright war

That's probably the most realistic part of it. Pretty much any revolutionary technology made in the past 100 years has been buried, and the only real improvements have been things that slipped through the cracks due to lack of foresight and gradual improvements in existing tech over time. If you actually invented something that dramatically shook-up the status quo you'd likely end up getting arrested on terrorism charges.

A character arc for Violet and maybe Dash. Violet, who's now a high school freshman, has to juggle her life as a super with her civilian identity. It has been giving her second thoughts since she is still quite inexperienced and doesn't know what she wants to be in the future (a full-fledged superhero vs. a part-timer), not helped by the fact that her boyfriend keeps finding out about her secret identity and freaking out, his memories having been erased for like the 7th time already. Dash, on the other hand, loves being a super; however, with talks of powers being banned again, he will need to either show some restraint and let the adults handle the discussion or show the world why people need superheroes.

>Set a little bit after the end of the 2nd (a year, a few years, whatever) and supers have returned to everyday life. Results have been... mixed. While regular crime is down, the existence supers somehow make normal criminals become supervillains (it's just a thing that happens) and that's a problem. So a formerly mothballed government program, Project Troy, is reactivated probably by a rogue element of the government. First thing they do is contact a former supervillain who worked for the project. He was granted full amnesty for helping subdue any heroes or villains that didn't cooperate with the government and now they want him back, but he has a family of supers too.
I dunno, didn't think the whole thing out. Might be better than whatever they end up doing.

The previous two villains were just humans with gripes against supers.
