>>149343612 (OP)It was far better. Back in the day I figured it was the blueprint for how the Thor series would go and I guess the MCU at large but was sorely disappointed. These Asgardians were actually Gods and magic was just a part of life, not that "magic is advanced science" babble. The bits with him and Jane were always good but what was better were the introductions of/ adventures with a varied cast of other heroes throughout the series. Ant-Man and The Wasp were treated especially well compared to how they usually are, probably thanks to the romantic overtone of it all. Namor and Captain Britain were treats to see. The Captain America team up comic was especially surprising to me because those are two characters whose worlds I could see interacting too well but it solved that by yoinking them both to the far past to go after Loki. It's a shame that there really seems to be no interest in adapting running or recent comics into shows in these parts, If we never got This Thor and his dynamics in the MCU then this should've gotten it's own show
