It's really funny to me that they make a big deal about not putting all Asians in the same category and, at multiple points, reinforcing that Laos is distinct from China and Japan, only to cast a Chinese actor as the voice of Khan. The sheer hypocrisy and irony in the situation is incredible.

Honest to god, the industry has really pushed themselves into a corner over the years. The more they try to be not racist, the more racist they become. But what can they do? How many Laotian voice actors do you know? In spite of their efforts to be "ethnically aware and diverse", they keep casting Koreans to play Japanese characters, Malaysians to play Chinese characters, and Chinese people to voice Laotian characters and trying to play it off as a victory.

Get over it, Minh has been played by a Chinese actress since the beginning.

Minh was actually relatively comfortable living there, her father was a dictator. But she married Kahn to piss him off, and ran away with him to wherever he wanted to go. Kahn basically converted a commie and made her an american, he is a true patriot.

In the show "Dear White People" they randomly introduce a quirky Asian girl who describes herself as such and who's going to make snappy comments and smoke all their weed. Later, she makes a point about how black people have tons of representation and movies compared to Asian people, who basically just have The Joy Luck Club. The conclusion she reaches is that Asian people don't get many lines.

She has maybe half a dozen lines the entire rest of the season.
