...rrrrrRRRRRRR MIKE, LU, AND OG (on the island)
>>149360140 (OP)Is that the pretty island where nobody goes?
It's good but it was a C+ on channel that aired straight A's
>>149360140 (OP)The weakest Cartoon Cartoon IMO, just wasn't my cup of tea and this is coming from a avid Sheep in the Big City and Robot Jones defender
>>149360140 (OP)I remember I watched this as a kid but after current rewatches I can say this was easily the most dull and forgettable thing to come out of classic CN.
>>149360140 (OP)This show gets a lot of hate but it was very chill, I have very fond memories of it.
>>149362460Robot Jones had soul.
When you're right, you're right
>>149362574yeah, don't understand /co/'s animosity towards it at all, it's just a silly show about a robot in school (oh right, because he's mistreated in the most brutal ways possible). still consider it good tho
>>149360827There are no burger stands.
There are no disco bands.
Apparently it's an island where nobody goes.
>>149362662It just wasnโt funny or comfy. Though the planned finale was Robot Jones getting fed up with the abuse and going full Skynet maybe would have all been worth it. Basically the robot version of a school shooting.

Luโs outfit was changed after the What a Cartoon! pilot. In the pilot short โCrash Lancelotโ (aired November 7, 1998), Lu wore only a painted-on white stripe across her chest โ essentially topless, apart from that stripe and it quickly got edited for later airings, giving Lu her classic tube top.
>>149360140 (OP)I blame Mike for creating my attraction to redheads and tomboys
>>149362574Lost its soul when they changed the voices.
>>149360140 (OP)Such a boring and forgettable show but it has one of the comfiest openings ever
>>149363441Pretty sure that is a myth.
>>149360140 (OP)Ffffffffuck you for putting that theme song in my head. It was alright but it didn't stand head and shoulders above its contemporaries. I remember one episode where a plane was coming by but the islanders chased it off for some reason?
>>149360140 (OP)>..rrrrrRRRRRRRCON USTEDES, MAIK LU Y OG

>>149363441>>149365502Don't know if that's true or not but the original sketch didn't have any white stripe, it had dots drawn though.

>>149366228That right there is the original and it's always been mentioned she was topless, nothing about some weird white stripe.
I donโt dislike this show much these days and actually find it quite charming, but I hated it as a kid.
Alway thought it was a weird choice for CN to choose this over a lot of the other What A Cartoon shorts. I guess they either saw something in the creator/moscow partnership, or just thought the show would be a hit. It just never quite fit in.
>>149366228>former commies made this showIn the words of Boney M, โOhhh, those Russians.โ
>>149360140 (OP)This shit takes me back along with time squad, sheep in the big city, robot jones etc. The late 90s/early 2000s was indeed a different time.
Funny how this show had pirates when Cartoon Network had a strict โNO PIRATESโ rule at the time of itโs release
(that rule was later abolished by flapjack tho)
>>149366639I had no idea about that. I liked them, the poor guys just wanted some nice turtle soup.
>>149366561>Time SquadFor some reason, I still remember the sandwich episode.
>>149366875I only remember the one with a very cheerful Edgar Allan Poe.
>>149366875>Time SquadI remember the show got cancelled because the US Government was offended by the showโs portrayal of George W. Bush

Used to listen to this band with my brother in the 90s. They did the theme song and other music for the show.

>>149366228Funny how they finally made Lu wear a bra and changed Og's loincloth for decency reasons, but still never considered giving them any underwear
>>149367598if that was true they would have had a slam-dunk First Amendment case
