I don't care for novelizations. Normally (not always, but nearly always) they are not the movie, but a different version of the story, modified by the hired writer, who would also add his/her ideas in there. So, in other words, a novelization will NOT be the creator's vision. I want the real version of the story, which is the film.

And I know you probably just want to see what the story is. Just felt like writing all of that down.

I genuinely don't think I've ever heard of a case where somebody said to me "the novelization is better". Even in cases where the novelization cleaned up plotholes or included some shit cut from the script that didn't break anything.

If course they had to show Mary Sue's superiority by Kicking the straight wolf in the face. We can't show competent male near her , can we?

Even RL women start to find this grating.

That reminds me: the novelization of Peter Rabbit 2 came out over a year before the movie did...because people were afraid of a flu that media hyped up to be the deadliest thing EVER. Every cover said "Now a major motion picture!" roflmao. And novelizations of animated/children's movies are terrible. They're dull, boring, have shit in them that didn't happen in the movie due to script and plot changes and scenes getting deleted...and the audiobook is usually even worse, if you can believe it. Usually read by someone who is obviously bored, and just reading the book into a mic, and not bothering to do separate character voices or emote at all.

Wolf is canon a scrawny wimp with no fighting ability in the original material as well, though. He's a con man. The fish are the muscle.

The Revenge of the Sith novelization is generally considered to be the superior version of the story

I think in a lot of cases, they were done using an early draft of the movie as reference since either a lot of tie-in material are done earlier during the movie's production so they can release it alongside the movie, or the writer was not shown the final cut of the movie and had to go by whatever was sent by the studio. In some cases, the final drafts come out when it's too late to change things, especially if it's a major change in the story. Examples of this include the Flushed Away video game where they keep the hamster butlers, or the Looney Tunes Back in Action game which keeps the originally planned Batman parody as the prologue.
