Too much CG, not enough eye candy or was the soundtrack a bit dated?

same as any late 90s animation. ugly. High quality art, but instead of drawing a face with pretty lines, they were drawn with ugly lines

oh i'm thinking of Treasure Planet, aren't I? Uh.. I'm looking this up and.. ... yeah I have no idea what this is, I guess every time I've heard Titan AE I've just mentally substituted Treasure Planet. This isn't an ugly art style, it's just.. kinda ugly people, too much cheek detail, very Anastasia. but acceptable by late 90s standards. i'd have watched this.

Also I remember when I watched the special features for Titan AE it was originally going to live action, but the thought people would think it's a generic starwars rip off so they approached animation companies to make it. I think it would have been better live action, but the aliens would have sucked more.
