>Steven Universe's hypest period was 10 years ago
It was my last experience with intense fandom, as the pilot dropped a year after I graduated from college. But I imagine it was a lot of anons' first, and now you're all adults and it's not weird anymore for me to ask you about how you experienced that time period. I'm curious how different it was for the actual intended demo vs my grown ass person experience. How did you find out about it, how did you deal with the long breaks between premieres, was it popular among your friends? etc.

I was a teenager when it was on. Thought it was okay at first. I liked it but lost interest , my opinion of it has only gotten worse as the years have gone on.

started watching around the season 2 first trailer. the series kept this board unified. still one of the cartoons with the most thought, heart, and effort built into it. amethyst best gem.

I was 14 when it came out. I overall liked S1 but it was definitely no Gravity Falls or Regular Show. I didn’t watch it past that since I more or less stopped watching cartoons around that age. my little sister still watched it though so I’d still catch an odd episode, I remember thinking it was kind of weird and gay at that point.
>How did you find out about it
it was on TV
>how did you deal with the long breaks between premieres
only cared about the first season so this wasn’t an issue
>was it popular among your friends?
prior to Rick and Morty, you’d get roasted if you admitted to watching anything like this. Family Guy, South Park and American Dad were kosher, TV-14 stuff was not.

CN started airing the show from the early season today. Holy shit I forgot how decent it used to be. You can tell there was some actual thought put into the early seasons too. I also miss how great the backgrounds and techo ost used to be. Fuck man, I hate how this series turned out.

Why, what's the point?

Started watching around 2014, so I was in the latter half of my teens.

Initially was excited, because I greatly enjoyed Sugar's work on Adventure Time, but as the show started moving on from the mystery and adventure aspects and on to townie episodes, I was increasingly disappointed, so - the usual.

It was actually one of the things that got me browsing /co/. I was looking for a place to discuss the show and the subreddit was hostile to any criticism whatsoever.

And I really enjoyed the generals. For a while that was my main source of show related enjoyement, even past the point where it went to total shit.

Why is almost every cartoon subreddit like this? You are not allowed to criticize popular shows. Xitter has the same problem.
