I think it's funny how there are paid and local models out that art actually kind of OK, but the internet is just flooded with these shitty images using models that have been outdated for years. It's like the people posting them can't afford a paid model or a decent enough rig to generate locally.

The problem is no quality control. I gen locally (for fun) and if something isn't to my standards then it doesn't get saved or uploaded, but I see a lot of AI art that nobody in their right mind should ever think is worth the light of day.

You only get so many tokens on the websites. You'd blow your monthly free allotment in an hour trying to get a perfect gen of a particular thing.

Not saying you should, I can't force you to, but AI users tend to have a habit of having schism and splitting into their own threads even when they use the exact same models

That is not even a fanart thread for the most part, a lot of it is usually taken over by the OP's OCs and other similarly looking generic DALL-E images.
