This. It's not even really a question.

The only thing I'll say is that thanks to Clancy Brown, I've always read Lex's dialogue with a deep, baritone voice. But that's more nitpicking, he was otherwise fucking amazing. Maybe even the best in the movie.

One aspect that I really liked about this version of the character that I haven't seen anyone else bring up is that he has own crew of white-collar underlings, who directly assist in his crimes and schemes despite highly likely being underpaid and constantly abused by him.

Lex will sometimes ally himself with Joker, believing he can control The Clown Prince of Crime while also recognizing that his out of the box thinking yields results. It's a great straight man/zany man dynamic. You start it in Worlds Finest, then expand into LoD

His voice is too high-pitched, he’s too small, and he’s a bit too spastic. Lex should be also more humorous (as Hackman was).

I do like that he was a mad scientist who used the pretense of his industrial personality as just a tool for his higher goal of killing Superman. He’s the smartest man in the world, and he knows it. But I like Lex knowing and hating Superman in Smallville, with everything else just being a justification for his initial conflict there. Lex also as someone who could realistically be Superman’s friend but is just out of reach, with the capacity of good underneath his evil actions, also isn’t shown here at all.

I would give it a 6/10.

Lois is a good actress, I've seen here in two things. I disagree with the people who have posted here over the weekend that the chemistry between her and Coronswet isn't legit. I know that the hot take from that trailer and the way it was edited still pissed the people off who want women to be barefoot and pregnant and nothing more, but I'd say most of her scenes could be enjoyed and yes you are being mislead.

David was good as Clark. He was decent to good as Superman. He's very much like Smallville Welling was near the first half of that series, probably up until the team up years with Ollie and the - whatever you want to call them - nascent JLA? And very much like the MAWS Clark as well, and I personally do prefer the competency that Routh showed as Superman, or Henry when he was allowed to be competent Superman, which was barely, and definitely Tyler got to show on TV.

>>149386862
He's better than most of the TV Lex, but that's mostly because Rosenbaum got so much shitty dialogue and got to hold the Idiot Ball for far too long. Hackman was great, just different.

He's definitely a good modern Lex.

This is the modern tech billionaire Lex that Snyder tried to do, only done right.

People who think Lex should still be some hypermasculine ubermensch are living in the past. The archetype of the traditionally masculine industrialist power broker in the style of Rockerfeller and Vanderbilt is not only played out, but inaccurate. It probably always was.

Modern billionaires are almost invariably autistic socially dysfunctional psychopath narcissists who refuse to go to therapy and fixate on stupid shit instead of making the world a better place, whining incessantly about whatever new thing it is that they're not allowed to have.

This is a Lex Luthor for the modern world.
