I remember when Gunnerkrigg Court had some real edge to it. Is it so terrible to wish for that back? Maybe edgy isn't "in" any more, but for God's sake, this comic used to hint at magic, death, and the primal forces of the cosmos. Why does everything feel so safe, for years now???

At this point an exaggerated reaction and screech spiral from Jenny is ALL we can expect from this comic. I rather suspect Tom will find a way to anticlimax that, too. It will probably end with the other witches telling her what happened and Jenny going "Huh! I guess Carver isn't so bad afterall then."
