>>1493925462016 killed the site, the culture shit that happened when Fox News directed rightwing schizos here and promised they would be welcome threw everything out of whack and the site has been on a decline ever since.
I originally started coming here because of /tg/ back in its golden era around 2009, when it was a constant wellspring of new ideas, new art, new memes, and even entire new fanmade games that were /tg/ originals made by anons.
All of that creativity has been lost now. Quests were banned. Threads about funny game stories or cool worldbuilding ideas die in their cribs because everyone just accuses everyone else of being some content-farming bot for a youtube channel you've never heard of and are afraid of having their precious ideas 'stolen'. No one makes anything anymore, and the few times someone tries they get shouted down and derided for the attempt. Bumpfagging keeps threads on life support for weeks at a time, and the board is full of 1-sentence vague question OPs with only the thinnest illusion of being /tg/ relevant because they worked the words "In your setting" into the question. Which would be fine, except there is never any discussion in these threads: not even the OP ever responds to what people have to say in it. Its just an empty room to scream into and hear not even an echo back.
Despite this, /tg/ is currently around the 25% mark in terms of boards sorted by activity. 75% of 4chan is MORE dead than what I just described.
Its honestly depressing as fuck.
