Fucking what? Shorty McShortShorts had pilots with far more interesting concepts, a country girl moving in with an evil scientist who owns tons of robots and shit, a university for mascots to learn how to become mascots, yet THIS is the shit concept he decided to base his autistic series around?

I’d even argue that Flip Flopped did the concept better because it’s clearly just a goofy wacky cartoon not made to take itself seriously meanwhile Growing Around has a complicated lore and worldbuilding and shit. On a side note I find it funny how in his most recent review he criticizes the worldbuilding of Cars despite his worldbuilding being dogshit.

I don't even think this could work as a series even if it was purely comedic. It feels like the pilot already exhausted all potential jokes.

I think he had an idea and just never wanted to get rid of it. And now he's invested too much time into it. He's also probably has a bunch of yes-men and fans who hype up this idea.
