They aren't even superheroes (most of the time) they're just "regular" (mostly rich) kids who get to attend a boarding school in Gotham, the hijinks occur because Gotham sucks ass so supervillains or zombies attack every once in a while and at least 1/3rd of the faculty and students were former supervillains or related to them.
