However, BFDI has devolved into every single moment requiring to have at least some bells and whistles. This is just how it is on most object shows, when a character gets eliminated they usually are sent to an enclosed area they are not allowed to get out, nor they can have any development because they're off screen, and tbf making a character go on a either rushed less than 1 minute arc or do it off screen sounds like a bad idea.

Why TPOT is so sterile? BFDI, BFDIA had so many visual gags or moments where they showed off the animation just because they want to. Animation is good, but they use it only for hype moments and aura. Not a single second where everyone just shut up for a moment and enjoys the world around. The most sad part is that they can do it. The scene with Grassy was so good. Feels like finale of BFDIA 5a
